The culinary trip had its highlights! Jacqui's just down the road served killer breakfasts, while Stevonia Fish & Chips was a tasty treat too. Those fresh fruits from the nearby market were a delightful find, making every breakfast feel like a feast!
The property was awful. Absolutely not as advertised. the ceiling was peeling away, rooms were dirty, and the owner was hostile. Multiple guests left due to the conditions, and we couldn't even eat in our room with no communal space available!

The stay at Ardern in Blackpool was a mixed bag. The warm welcome from Christine made a great first impression. The breakfast each morning was delightful, offering a good variety that started my day on a high note. The room, although small, had a comfy bed that made sleeping easy. the decor left much to be desired. it felt outdated and not as clean as I had hoped. The bathroom could definitely use some updates—shower doors were broken, making it inconvenient to use. I encountered issues with the water being turned off before checkout, which was quite frustrating. Communication could also improve, as there were moments when staff seemed a bit overwhelmed and not very approachable.

The only possible highlight was the location, as it’s central and easy to get to attractions.
The room was incredibly musty, with dampness and mold all around, including the bedding and furniture. Upon arrival, wet paint issues made the bathroom unusable, and the overall cleanliness was severely lacking, featuring odd items strewn throughout—think old shoes and paint cans. Several maintenance issues stood out like live wires hanging from the walls and a broken shower head that fell during use. Also alarming were the random fire extinguishers and taped-up fire alarms that raised serious safety concerns.

It all depends on your needs
An excellent location near the town center and a very friendly owner, who is always ready to assist guests with any needs.
The lack of hot water and heating during the stay made it quite uncomfortable, leading to disappointing experiences.

The breakfast offered was fresh and well-prepared, which definitely made starting the day much more enjoyable. The quirky decor throughout the space gave it a unique character that's hard to find elsewhere.
The state of the rooms left much to be desired, peeling paint and odd stains were noticeable everywhere, especially in the bathrooms with showers that were often obstructed or poorly functioning. The layout of the rooms felt cramped and cluttered, with strange uninvited items like outdated appliances just sitting around. Overall cleanliness, especially within the bathrooms, was questionable, with evidence of previous guests still lingering. There were distinct maintenance issues too, like doors not closing properly and unsteady fixtures that raised safety concerns.

The comfy bed was a highlight during my stay! On the downside, the shower had mould and the room was noisy due to external street light. 😅

Surprisingly Pleasant Getaway!
Despite initial worries from reviews, my stay turned out delightful. The cleanliness of the room exceeded my expectations, especially for such an affordable price. I appreciated the well-equipped amenities in my Twin Room. For future guests, a great tip is to check the Wi-Fi signal in advance.
